37:107. As far as the son is concerned, We saved him for a far greater and tremendous
sacrifice. (This great sacrifice refers to the fact that instead of keeping his leadership
confined to Syria, We wanted him to become the custodian of Our House Kaaba, which
was located in the far off barren land of Arabia and which had to become the center and
gathering place of all those the world over, who believed in the unity of God ~ 14:37.)PZ.

رَبَّنَا إِنِّي أَسْكَنْتُ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي بِوَادٍ غَيْرِ ذِي زَرْعٍ عِنْدَ بَيْتِكَ الْمُحَرَّمِ رَبَّنَا لِيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ فَاجْعَلْ أَفْئِدَةً مِنَ النَّاسِ تَهْوِي إِلَيْهِمْ وَارْزُقْهُمْ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْكُرُونَ
‘হে আমাৰ ৰব! নিশ্চয় মই মোৰ বংশৰ কিছুমান লোকক অনুৰ্বৰ উপত্যকাত, তোমাৰ পৱিত্ৰ ঘৰৰ ওচৰত বসবাস কৰালো। হে আমাৰ ৰব! এইকাৰণে যে, তেওঁলোকে যেন চালাত কায়েম কৰে। এতেকে তুমি কিছুমান লোকৰ অন্তৰ তেওঁলোকৰ প্ৰতি অনুৰাগী কৰি দিয়া আৰু ফল-মূলেৰে তেওঁলোকৰ জীৱিকাৰ ব্যৱস্থা কৰা, যাতে তেওঁলোকে কৃতজ্ঞতা প্ৰকাশ কৰে’।)

وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ

وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
আৰু আমি পৰৱৰ্তীসকলৰ মাজত তেওঁৰ সুখ্যাতি ৰাখি দিছো।

37:108. The sacrifice which Abraham wanted to give would have remained confined to his son (Ishmail); but the ‘sacrifice’ for which We saved him (that is the custodianship of the

سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ

كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
এইদৰেই আমি সৎকৰ্মশীলসকলক পুৰষ্কৃত কৰো।

37:110. This is because he led his life in a balanced and righteous manner, in conformity with Our Laws. And whoever leads his life in this manner will get the same results.pz.

আৰু আমি তেওঁক ইছহাক্বৰ সুসংবাদ দিছিলো, তেওঁ আছিল এজন নবী, সৎকৰ্মশীলসকলৰ অন্যতম।

وَامْرَأَتُهُ قَائِمَةٌ فَضَحِكَتْ فَبَشَّرْنَاهَا بِإِسْحَاقَ وَمِنْ وَرَاءِ إِسْحَاقَ يَعْقُوبَ
আৰু তেওঁৰ স্ত্ৰী থিয় হৈ আছিল, এই শুনি তেওঁ হাঁহি উঠিল। তাৰ পিছত আমি তেওঁক ইছহাক্বৰ আৰু ইছহাক্বৰ পৰৱৰ্তী ইয়াকূবৰ সুসংবাদ দিলো।

قَالُوا لَا تَوْجَلْ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ
তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, ‘ভয় নকিৰব, আমি আপোনাক এজন জ্ঞানী পুত্ৰৰ সুসংবাদ দিবলৈহে আহিছো’।
১৫:৫৪
قَالَ أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِي عَلَىٰ أَنْ مَسَّنِيَ الْكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ
তেওঁ ক’লে, ‘বাৰ্দ্ধক্যই স্পৰ্শ কৰা সত্বেও আপোনালোকে মোক (সন্তান লাভৰ) সুসংবাদ দিছে? এতেকে আপোনালোকে কিহৰ (কেনেকৈ) সুসংবাদ দি আছে’?
১৫:৫৫
قَالُوا بَشَّرْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُنْ مِنَ الْقَانِطِينَ
তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, ‘আমি সত্য সুসংবাদ দিছো; এতেকে আপুনি নিৰাশ নহ’ব’।)

وَبَارَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰ إِسْحَاقَ ۚ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌ وَظَالِمٌ لِنَفْسِهِ مُبِينٌ
আৰু আমি ইব্ৰাহীমৰ ওপৰত বৰকত দান কৰিছিলো আৰু ইছহাক্বৰ ওপৰতো; আৰু তেওঁলোক উভয়েৰে বংশধৰসকলৰ মাজত আছিল কিছুমান সৎকৰ্মশীল আৰু কিছুমান আছিল নিজৰ প্ৰতি স্পষ্ট অত্যাচাৰী।

قِيلَ يَا نُوحُ اهْبِطْ بِسَلَامٍ مِنَّا وَبَرَكَاتٍ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ أُمَمٍ مِمَّنْ مَعَكَ ۚ وَأُمَمٌ سَنُمَتِّعُهُمْ ثُمَّ يَمَسُّهُمْ مِنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
কোৱা হ’ল, ‘হে নূহ! অৱতৰণ কৰা (নাৱৰ পৰা) আমাৰ ফালৰ পৰা শান্তি আৰু কল্যাণৰ সৈতে তোমাৰ প্ৰতি আৰু যিবোৰ সম্প্ৰদায় তোমাৰ লগত আছে তেওঁলোকৰ প্ৰতি; আৰু কিছুমান এনেকুৱা সম্প্ৰদায়ো আছে আমি সিহঁতক জীৱন উপভোগ কৰিবলৈ দিম, কিন্তু পিছত আমাৰ ফালৰ পৰা যন্ত্ৰণাদায়ক শাস্তিয়ে সিহঁতক স্পৰ্শ কৰিব;

وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ
আৰু অৱশ্যে আমি অনুগ্ৰহ কৰিছিলো মূছা আৰু হাৰূনৰ প্ৰতি,

37:114 THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron;

I.e., in consideration of their own merit, and not because of their descent from Abraham and Isaac (see preceding verse)(as).

وَنَجَّيْنَاهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ
আৰু তেওঁলোক উভয়কে লগতে তেওঁলোকৰ সম্প্ৰদায়কো উদ্ধাৰ কৰিছিলো মহাসংকটৰ পৰা।

وَنَصَرْنَاهُمْ فَكَانُوا هُمُ الْغَالِبِينَ
আৰু আমি সহায় কৰিছিলো তেওঁলোকক, ফলত তেওঁলোকে বিজয়ী হৈছিল।

وَآتَيْنَاهُمَا الْكِتَابَ الْمُسْتَبِينَ
আৰু আমি উভয়কে বিশদ কিতাব প্ৰদান কৰিছিলো।

37:117 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct,

إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَا التَّوْرَاةَ فِيهَا هُدًى وَنُورٌ ۚ يَحْكُمُ بِهَا النَّبِيُّونَ الَّذِينَ أَسْلَمُوا لِلَّذِينَ هَادُوا وَالرَّبَّانِيُّونَ وَالْأَحْبَارُ بِمَا اسْتُحْفِظُوا مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ وَكَانُوا عَلَيْهِ شُهَدَاءَ ۚ فَلَا تَخْشَوُا النَّاسَ وَاخْشَوْنِ وَلَا تَشْتَرُوا بِآيَاتِي ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا ۚ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْكَافِرُونَ
নিশ্চয় আমিয়েই তাওৰাত অৱতীৰ্ণ কৰিছিলো, তাত আছিল হিদায়ত আৰু জ্যোতি, ইয়াৰ মাধ্যমত ইয়াহুদীসকলৰ বাবে ফয়চালা প্ৰদান কৰিছিল অনুগত নবীসকলে আৰু ৰাব্বানীসকলে লগতে বিদ্বানসকলেও। কাৰণ তেওঁলোকক আল্লাহৰ কিতাবৰ ৰক্ষক হিচাপে দায়িত্ব দিয়া হৈছিল আৰু তেওঁলোক আছিল ইয়াৰ ওপৰত সাক্ষী। সেয়ে তোমালোকে মানুহক ভয় নকৰিবা কেৱল মোকেই ভয় কৰা আৰু মোৰ আয়াতসমূহৰ বিনিময়ত তুচ্ছ মূল্য কিনি নলবা। আল্লাহে যি অৱতীৰ্ণ কৰিছে সেই অনুযায়ী যিসকলে বিধান নিদিয়ে সিহঁতেই কাফিৰ।

إِنَّهُمَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
আৰু ইলিয়াছো আছিল ৰাছুলসকলৰ অন্তৰ্ভুক্ত।

37:123 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers.
Note.
The Hebrew prophet Elijah (Ilyas in Arabic) is mentioned in the Bible (I Kings xvii ff. And II Kings i-ii) as having lived in the Northern Kingdom of Israel during the reigns of Ahab and Ahaziah - i.e., in the ninth century B.C. - and having been succeeded by Elisha (Al-Yasa in Arabic). The above stress on his, too, having been "one of the message-bearers" (min al-mursalin) recalls the Quranic principle that God makes "no distinction between any of His apostles"(cf. 2:136 and 285, 3:84, 4:152(as).

আৰু যাকাৰিয়্যাহ, ইয়াহয়া, ঈছা আৰু ইলয়াছকো (আমি হিদায়ত দিছিলো)। এওঁলোকৰ প্ৰত্যেকেই সৎকৰ্মপৰায়ণ আছিল;)

إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
যেতিয়া তেওঁ নিজ সম্প্ৰদায়ক কৈছিল, ‘তোমালোকে তাক্বৱা অৱলম্বন নকৰিবানে’?

أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلًا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ الْخَالِقِينَ
‘তোমালোকে বাআলক(এজন দেৱতা) আহ্বান কৰা নেকি? অথচ পৰিত্যাগ কৰা সৰ্বত্তোম স্ৰষ্টাক,

37:125. “You are worshipping Baal (a deity), and forsaking that God who is the best of the

اللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ آبَائِكُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
‘আল্লাহ, তেৱেঁই তোমালোকৰ ৰব, আৰু তোমালোকৰ পূৰ্বৱৰ্তী পিতৃ-পুৰুষসকলৰো ৰব্ব’।

37:126. “The God Who not only is your Rabb, but is also the Rabb of your forefathers.”pz.

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ
কিন্তু সিহঁতে তেওঁক অস্বীকাৰ কৰিছিল, সেয়ে সিহঁতক অৱশ্যে (শাস্তিৰ বাবে) উপস্থিত কৰা হ’ব।

37:127. (Thus he invited his nation towards the right path.) But they belied him and as a
result of their erroneous way of life, were chastised;pz.

WORD BY WORD MEANING. BB:
[37:107] And (Wa) We ransomed him (the son) (Fadai'naa-hu) with (Bi) a great (Åziim) sacrifice (Zib'hin),
[37:108] and (Wa) We left (Tarak'naa) about him (Ålai'hi) for (Fii) later generations (El'Aakhiriin).
[37:109] Peace (Salaamun) be upon (Ålaa) Abraham (Ib'raahiim).
[37:110] We thus (Kazaalika) reward (Naj'zii) the benevolent (El'Muh'siniin).
[37:111] Indeed, he (Innahu) was one of (Min') Our (-naa) believing (El'Mu'miniin) servants (Ebaadi-).
[37:112] So (Wa) We gave him good news (Basshar'naa-hu) of (Bi) Isaac (Is'haaqa); a prophet (Nabiyyan)
among (Mina) the righteous (Es'Soalihiin).
[37:113] And (Wa) We blessed him (Baarak'naa Ålai'hi2
) and (Wa) Isaac (Is'haaqa). And (Wa) among (Min)
their descendants (Zurriyyati-himaa) is one who is benevolent (Muh'sinun), and (Wa) one who is clearly
(Mubiin) unjust (Zoalimun) to himself (Naf'si-hi).
[37:114] And (Wa) We certainly (Laqad') favoured (Manannaa Ålaa) Moses (Muusaa) and Aaron (Haaruun).
[37:115] And (Wa) We rescued them both (Najjai'naa-humaa) and their people (Qaw'ma-humaa) from (Mina) the terrible (El'Åziim) distress (El'Kar'bi).
[37:116] And (Wa) We supported them (Nasor'naa-hum'), and (Fa) they (Humu) became (Kaanu') the winners (El'Gaalibiin).
[37:117] And (Wa) We gave them both (Aatai'naa-humaa) the Clarifying (El'Mus'tabiin) Book (El'Kitaaba).
[37:118] And (Wa) We guided them both (Hadai'naa-humaa) to the straight (El'Mus'taqiim) path (Es'Siraato).
[37:119] And (Wa) We left (Tarak'naa) about them (Ålai'himaa) for (Fii) later generations (El'Aakhiriin).
[37:120] Peace (Salaamun) be upon (Ålaa) Moses (Muusaa) and (Wa) Aaron (Haaruun).
[37:121] Indeed, We (Innaa) thus (Kazaalika) reward (Naj'zii) the benevolent (El'Muh'siniin).
[37:122] Indeed, both of them (Innahumaa) were among (Min') Our (-naa) believing (El'Mu'miniin)
servants (Ebaadi-).
[37:123] And (Wa) indeed (Inna), Elijah (il'yaasa) was one of (Lamina) the messengers (El'Mur'saliin),
[37:124] when (Iz') he said (Qaala) to (Li) his people (Qaw'mi-hi), "Will you not (Allaa) be pious (Tattaquun)?
[37:125] "Do you invoke (A'tad'uuna) Baal (Ba'lan) while (Wa) leaving (Tazaruuna) the best (Ah'sana) of
creators (El'Khaaliqiin);
