28:30 But when he came close to it, a call was sounded from the right-side bank of the valley, out of the tree [burning] on blessed ground:🔺 “O Moses! Verily, I am God, the Sustainer of all the worlds!"
Note🔺
As in 19:52 and 20:80, the reference to the "right" side has a connotation of "blessedness": see in his respect on 74:39. As regards the "blessed ground", see on the expression "twice-hallowed valley" in 20:12. The "tree" referred to in the above verse is obviously identical with the "burning bush" of the Bible (Exodus iii. 2).(as).

28:32. The directives given to Moses were such that compliance with them and their execution were bound to produce
very pleasant results. Moreover very solid and convincing reasons were given to Moses in support of these directives. He
was asked to present these directives with complete confidence; in that they would create a very pleasant and healthy effect
on people and nothing therein would have any unpleasant or unwarranted outcome. “If at any stage you are afraid, do not
get upset. Keep your senses calm and do not ever lose confidence. Instead be ready for the tussle, and also organize and
train your people in the best possible manner.” (15:88)

In view of the fact that the ancient Egyptians worshipped many gods, this observation is not to be taken literally; but since each of the Pharaohs was regarded as an incarnation of the divine principle as such, he claimed - and received - his people's adoration as their "Lord All-Highest" (cf. 79:24), combining within himself, as it were, all the qualities attributable to gods.(as).

28:39 Thus arrogantly, without the least good sense,* did he and his hosts behave on earth - just as if they thought that they would never have to appear before Us [for judgment]!**
Note*
lit., "without (any) truth" or "justification" (bi-ghayr al-haqq).
Note**
Lit., "and they thought that they would not be brought back to Us". There is no doubt that the ancient Egyptians did believe in a life after death, and that this belief included the concept of a divine judgment as well. Since, however, the particular Pharaoh whom Moses confronted is said to have behaved with an arrogance opposed to all good sense, the Qur'an - by implication - likens his attitude to that of a person who does not believe in resurrection and in man's ultimate responsibility before God: hence the rendering of the conjunctive particle wa at the beginning of the above clause as "just as if".(as).

✍️Verse/note:
28:41 [We destroyed them,] and We set them up as archetypes [of evil] that show the way to the fire [of hell];* and [whereas] no succour will come to them on Resurrection Day,
Note*
Lit., "archetypes (aimmah) inviting to the fire". This is the pivotal sentence of the above fragment of the story of Moses. Just as verses 15-16 are meant to draw our attention to the sin of tribal or racial prejudice, the present reference to Pharaoh as an "archetype [of evil]" points to the fact that false pride (takabbur) and arrogance (istikbar) are truly "satanic" attitudes of mind, repeatedly exemplified in the Qur'an by Iblis's symbolic "revolt" against God (for the meaning of which see note 26 on 2:34 and note 31 on 15:41). Inasmuch as they are intrinsically evil, these "satanic" impulses lead to evil actions and, consequently, to a weakening or even a total destruction of man's spiritual potential: which, in its turn, is bound to cause suffering in the hereafter.(as).

(Ra'aa'haa) moving (Tah'tazzu) as if it (Ka'annahaa) were a demon (27:10) (Jaanun), he turned away (Wallaa)
retreating (Mud'biran) and did not (Walam') pursue (Yuåqqib'). "O (Yaa) Moses (Muusaa), approach (Aq'bil')
and do not (Walaa) fear (Takhaf'). Indeed, you (Innaka) are of (Mina) those who are secured (El'Aaminiin).
[28:32] "Insert (Es'luk') your hand (Yadaka) into (Fii) your pocket (Jai'bi-ka); it will come out (Takh'ruj')
white (27:12) (Bai'doa'a) without (Min' Gai'ri) harm (Suu'in). And (Wa) embrace (Ed'mum' ilai'ka) your flank
(Janaaha-ka) from (Mina) fear (Er'haanaani), and (Fa) those (Zaanika) are two proofs (Bur'haanaani) from
(Min) your LORD (Rabbi-ka) to (ilaa) Pharaoh (Fir'åw'na) and (Wa) his assembly (Malai'hi). Indeed, they
(Innahum) are (Kaanu') an immoral (Faasiqiin) people (Qaw'man)."
[28:33] He (Moses)said (Qaala), "LORD (Rabbi), I killed (Qatal'tu) someone (Naf'san) among them (Min'hum),
so (Fa) I fear (Akhaafu) that (An) they will kill me (Yaq'tuluuni).
[28:34] "And (Wa) my brother (Akhii) Aaron (Haaruunu) is (Huwa) more eloquent (Af'sohu) than me
(Minnii) in tongue (Lisaanan), so (Fa) send him (Ar'sil'hu) with me (Maåya) as helper (support) (Rid’aan) to
confirm me (Yusoddiqunii). Indeed, I (Innii) fear (Akhaafu) that (An) they will deny me (Yukazzibuuni)."
[28:35] HE (God) said (Qaala), "We will strengthen (Sa Nashuddu) your support (Åduda-ka) with (Bi) your
brother (Akhii-ka) and (Wa) grant you both (Naj'ål' Lakumaa) authority (Sul'toanan), so they will not (Falaa)
attack you (Yasiluuna ilai'kumaa), with (Bi) Our signs (Aayaati-naa), both of you (Antumaa) and whoever
(Wamani) follows you (Ettabaå-kumaa) will be the predominant (El'Gaalibuun)."
[28:36] And (Fa) when (Lammaa) Moses (Muusaa) brought them (Jaa'ahum Bi) Our signs (Aayaati-naa) as
proofs (Bayyinaatin), they (the disbelievers)said (Qaalu'), "This (Haaza) is only (Maa illa) a fabricated (Muf'taran)
sorcery (Sih'run), for (Wa) we have never (Maa) heard (Sami'naa) of (Bi) this (Haaza) among (Fii) our
forefathers (Aabaai'naal' Awwaliin)."
[28:37] And (Wa) Moses (Muusaa) said (Qaala), "My LORD (Rabbii) is aware of (A'lamu Bi) whoever (Man)
comes with (Jaa'a Bi) the Guidance (El'Hudaa) before HIM (Min' Endi-hi), and one (Waman) to whom (Lahu)
will be (Takuunu) the outcome (Ååqibatu) of the Home (Ed'Daari). Indeed (Innahu), the transgressors
(Ez'Zoalimuun) will not (Laa) succeed (Yuf'lihu)."
[28:38] And (Wa) Pharaoh (Fir'åw'nu) said (Qaala), "O you (Yaa Ayyuha) assembly (El'Malau), I never (Maa)
knew (Ålim'tu) you have (Lakum) a (Min') god (ilaahin) other than me (Gai'rii); so (Fa) kindle (Aw'qid') over
(Ålaa) a clay (Ettiini) for me (Lii), O (Yaa) Haman (Haamaanu) and (Fa) make (Ej'ål) a structure (Sor'han) for
me (Lii) so that I (Laållii) may rise (Attoliu) to (ilaa) the god (ilaahi) of Moses (Muusaa). And (Wa) indeed, I
(Innii La) think that he (Azunnu-hu) is of (Mina) the liars (El'Kaazibiin)."
[28:39] And (Wa) he (Huwa) and his soldiers (Junuudu-hu) became arrogant (Es'tak'bara) in the land (Fiil'
Ar'di) without (Bi-Gai'ri) right (El'Haqqi), and they thought (Zonnuu') that they (Annahum) will not return
(Yur'jauun) to Us (ilai'naa).
[28:40] Consequently (Fa) We seized him (Akhaz'naa-hu) and (Wa) his soldiers (Junuuda-hu) and (Fa)
discarded them (Nabaz'naa-hum’) into the sea (Fiil' Yammi). Therefore (Fa) observe (Enzur') how (Kai'fa) was
(Kaana) the end (Ååqibatu) of the transgressors (Ez'Zoalimiin).
[28:41] And (Wa) We made them (Jaål'naa-hum') leaders (11:98) (A'immatan) inviting (Yad'uuna) to (ilaa) the
Fire (En'Naari), and (Wa) on the Day of Resurrection (Yaw'mal' Qiyaamati), they will not (Laa) be helped
(Yunsoruun).
[28:42] And (Wa) We followed them with (-At'ba'naa-hum') a curse (La'natan) in (Fii) this (Haazihi) world
(Ed'Dun'yaa), and (Wa) on the Day of Resurrection (Yaw'mal' Qiyaamati) they (Hum) will be among (Mina)
the shameful (El'Maq'buuhiin).
