🟦৪৬:২১(THE COMMUNITY OF AAD)
۞ وَاذْكُرْ أَخَا عَادٍ إِذْ أَنْذَرَ قَوْمَهُ بِالْأَحْقَافِ وَقَدْ خَلَتِ النُّذُرُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا اللَّهَ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
আৰু স্মৰণ কৰা আদ সম্প্ৰদায়ৰ ভাতৃৰ কথা, যেতিয়া তেওঁ আহক্বাফত নিজ সম্প্ৰদায়ক সতৰ্ক কৰিছিল। যাৰ আগত আৰু পিছতো সতৰ্ককাৰী আহিছিল (এই নিৰ্দেশ লৈ) যে, ‘তোমালোকে একমাত্ৰ আল্লাহৰ বাহিৰে আন কাৰো ইবাদত নকৰিবা। নিশ্চয় মই তোমালোকৰ বাবে মহাদিৱসৰ শাস্তিৰ আশংকা কৰিছো’।

46:21 AND REMEMBER that brother of [the tribe of] Ad,✔️ how - seeing that [other] warnings had already come and gone within his own knowledge as well as in times beyond his ken -✔️✔️ he warned his people [who lived] among those sand-dunes: “Worship none but God! Verily, I fear lest suffering befall you on an awesome day!"

I.e., the Prophet Hud (see surah 7:65). The mention of Hud and the tribe of Ad connects with the last sentence of the preceding verse, inasmuch as this tribe "transgressed all bounds of equity all over their lands" (89:11).(as).

This idiomatic phrase (2:255) is evidently an allusion to the many warning messages, in Hud's own time as well as in the almost forgotten past, which ought to have made - but did not make - the tribe of Ad conscious of how far astray they had gone. We have here a subtle, parenthetic reminder that, apart from the revelations which He bestows upon His prophets, God offers His guidance to man through the many signs and warnings apparent in all nature as well as in the changing conditions of human society.

فَإِنْ أَعْرَضُوا فَقُلْ أَنْذَرْتُكُمْ صَاعِقَةً مِثْلَ صَاعِقَةِ عَادٍ وَثَمُودَ
তথাপিও সিহঁতে যদি মুখ ঘূৰাই লয় তেন্তে কোৱা, ‘মই তোমালোকক এটা ধ্বংসাত্মক শাস্তি সম্পৰ্কে সতৰ্ক কৰিছো, আদ আৰু ছামূদৰ শাস্তিৰ দৰে’।

إِذْ جَاءَتْهُمُ الرُّسُلُ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا اللَّهَ ۖ قَالُوا لَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّنَا لَأَنْزَلَ مَلَائِكَةً فَإِنَّا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُمْ بِهِ كَافِرُونَ
যেতিয়া সিহঁতৰ ওচৰত সিহঁতৰ ৰাছুলসকলে সন্মুখৰ পৰা আৰু পিছফালৰ পৰা আহি কৈছিল যে, ‘তোমালোকে একমাত্ৰ আল্লাহৰ বাহিৰে আন কাৰো ইবাদত নকৰিবা’। সিহঁতে কৈছিল, ‘যদি আমাৰ প্ৰতিপালকে ইচ্ছা কৰিলেহেঁতেন তেন্তে অৱশ্যে তেওঁ ফিৰিস্তা অৱতীৰ্ণ কৰিলেহেঁতেন। এতেকে তোমালোকে যিটো লৈ প্ৰেৰিত হৈছা সেয়া আমি অস্বীকাৰ কৰো’।

যিসকলে ইয়াৰ প্ৰতি ঈমান পোষণ নকৰে সিহঁতেই ইয়াক ত্বৰান্বিত কৰিব বিচাৰে। আৰু যিসকলে ঈমান আনিছে তেওঁলোকে ইয়াৰ পৰা ভীত হৈ থাকে আৰু তেওঁলোকে জানে যে, এয়া নিশ্চিতভাৱে সত্য। জানি থোৱা, নিশ্চয় কিয়ামত সম্পৰ্কে যিসকলে বাক-বিতণ্ডা কৰে সিহঁতে ঘোৰ বিভ্ৰান্তিত নিপতিত।

قَالَ إِنَّمَا الْعِلْمُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَأُبَلِّغُكُمْ مَا أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِ وَلَٰكِنِّي أَرَاكُمْ قَوْمًا تَجْهَلُونَ
তেওঁ ক’লে, ‘এই জ্ঞান কেৱল আল্লাহৰ ওচৰতহে। মই যিটো লৈ প্ৰেৰিত হৈছো কেৱল সেইটোহে মই তোমালোকৰ ওচৰত প্ৰচাৰ কৰো, কিন্তু মই দেখি আছো তোমালোক এটা মুৰ্খ সম্প্ৰদায়’।

46:23. He said, "The knowledge about the timing and type of punishment rests with Allah alone.
My duty and mission is to convey to you the message I have been entrusted with. However I see
that you are extremely ignorant and foolish. (So much so that you do not ponder over what I say,
but insist upon hurrying up the chastisement about which I warn you.)pz.
(২৩) তেওঁ ক’লে, “শাস্তিৰ সময় আৰু প্ৰকাৰৰ বিষয়ে জ্ঞান কেৱল আল্লাহৰ ওপৰত নিৰ্ভৰশীল।”
মোৰ কৰ্তব্য আৰু মিছন মোৰ ওপৰত ন্যস্ত কৰা বাৰ্তা আপোনালোকৰ মাজলৈ প্ৰেৰণ কৰা। যি কি নহওক মই দেখিছোঁ যে আপুনি অত্যন্ত অজ্ঞান আৰু মূৰ্খ। (ইমান যে মই কোৱা কথাবোৰৰ ওপৰত আপুনি চিন্তা নকৰে,

فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ عَارِضًا مُسْتَقْبِلَ أَوْدِيَتِهِمْ قَالُوا هَٰذَا عَارِضٌ مُمْطِرُنَا ۚ بَلْ هُوَ مَا اسْتَعْجَلْتُمْ بِهِ ۖ رِيحٌ فِيهَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
তাৰ পিছত যেতিয়া সিহঁতে সিহঁতৰ উপত্যকাৰ পিনে মেঘ অহা দেখিলে তেতিয়া সিহঁতে ক’বলৈ ধৰিলে, ‘এই মেঘে আমাৰ ইয়াত বৰষুণ দিব’। নহয়, বৰং এইটোৱে সেই শাস্তি যিটোৰ বাবে তোমালোকে খৰধৰ কৰিছিলা, এজাক বৰষুণ, য’ত আছে যন্ত্ৰণাদায়ক শাস্তি।

تُدَمِّرُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ بِأَمْرِ رَبِّهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا لَا يُرَىٰ إِلَّا مَسَاكِنُهُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْقَوْمَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ
‘ই তাৰ প্ৰতিপালকৰ নিৰ্দেশত সকলো বস্তু ধ্বংস কৰি দিব’। ফলত সিহঁত এনেকুৱা (ধ্বংস) হৈ গ’ল যে, সিহঁতৰ আবাসস্থলৰ বাহিৰে আন একো দেখা পোৱা নগ’ল। এইদৰে আমি অপৰাধী সম্প্ৰদায়ক প্ৰতিফল প্ৰদান কৰি থাকো।

46:25 bound to destroy everything at its Sustainer's behest!" And then they were so utterly wiped out@ that nothing could be seen save their [empty] dwellings: thus do We requite people lost in sin.

فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِالطَّاغِيَةِ
সেয়ে ছামুদ সম্প্ৰদায়ক ধ্বংস কৰা হৈছিল এটা প্ৰলয়ংকৰ বিপৰ্যয়কাৰী প্ৰচণ্ড শব্দৰ দ্বাৰা।

وَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِرِيحٍ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٍ

وَلَقَدْ مَكَّنَّاهُمْ فِيمَا إِنْ مَكَّنَّاكُمْ فِيهِ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ سَمْعًا وَأَبْصَارًا وَأَفْئِدَةً فَمَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُمْ سَمْعُهُمْ وَلَا أَبْصَارُهُمْ وَلَا أَفْئِدَتُهُمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ إِذْ كَانُوا يَجْحَدُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
আৰু অৱশ্যে আমি সিহঁতক যেনেকৈ প্ৰতিষ্ঠিত কৰিছিলো তোমালোকক তেনেকৈ প্ৰতিষ্ঠিত কৰা নাই; আৰু আমি সিহঁতক দিছিলো কাণ, চকু আৰু হৃদয়; তথাপিও সিহঁতৰ কাণ, চকু আৰু হৃদয় কোনো কামত অহা নাছিল, যেতিয়া সিহঁতে আল্লাহৰ আয়াতসমূহক অস্বীকাৰ কৰিছিল। আৰু যি বিষয়ে সিহঁতে ঠাট্টা-বিদ্ৰূপ কৰিছিল, সেইটোৱে সিহঁতক পৰিবেষ্টন কৰিলে।

আৰু যি বিষয়ে তোমাৰ কোনো জ্ঞান নাই তাৰ অনুসৰণ নকৰিবা; নিশ্চয় কাণ, চকু আৰু হৃদয়- ইয়াৰ প্ৰত্যেকটোৰ বিষয়ে কৈফিয়ত তলব কৰা হ’ব।

ثُمَّ سَوَّاهُ وَنَفَخَ فِيهِ مِنْ رُوحِهِ ۖ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَا تَشْكُرُونَ
তাৰ পিছত তেৱেঁই তাক সুঠাম কৰিছে আৰু তাত তেওঁৰ ৰূহ ফুঁৱাই দিছে। তেৱেঁই তোমালোকৰ বাবে কাণ, চকু আৰু অন্তঃকৰণ সৃষ্টি কৰিছে। তোমালোকে খুবেই কম কৃতজ্ঞতা প্ৰকাশ কৰা।

أَفَرَأَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُ هَوَاهُ وَأَضَلَّهُ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِ وَقَلْبِهِ وَجَعَلَ عَلَىٰ بَصَرِهِ غِشَاوَةً فَمَنْ يَهْدِيهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ اللَّهِ ۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
এতেকে তুমি সেইজন ব্যক্তিৰ পিনে লক্ষ্য কৰিছানে, যিয়ে নিজ কামনা-বাসনাক নিজৰ ইলাহ কৰি লৈছে? আৰু তাৰ ওচৰত জ্ঞান অহাৰ পিছতো আল্লাহে তাক বিভ্ৰান্ত কৰিছে, আৰু তেওঁ তাৰ কাণ আৰু হৃদয়ত মোহৰ মাৰি দিছে। তেওঁ তাৰ চকুৰ ওপৰত ৰাখি দিছে আৱৰণ। এতেকে আল্লাহৰ পিছত কোনে তাক হিদায়ত দিব? তথাপিও তোমালোকে উপদেশ গ্ৰহণ নকৰিবানে?

✍️Note:
Is it possible that the God who endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect and then has
intended us to forgo their use? It would be an insult to God's gift if we thought so. Many of the
verses appeal to our intelligence, to seek knowledge, use our intellect to sift through it and arrive
at a conclusion worthy of being a wise decision. We should believe because of the profound
guidance the messengers brought. See verse 7:75.(sig).

✍️Verse/Note:
46:26. (That was not an ordinary nation.) Unlike you they enjoyed much power, might and
strength. Moreover they were not uncivilized or illiterate. We had endowed them with the ability
to hear, see and reason, but they opposed the Divine Laws because of their overpowering
selfishness. As such their faculties of wisdom, intellect and reason were of no use to them
(45:23) and (eventually) they were encircled by the very things they ridiculed. (When human
intellect works under guidance of Wahi, the results are very pleasant. However when emotions
overpower man, his intellect and wisdom are switched off, just like how he loses control when intoxicated.)pz.

[46:21] And (Wa) mention (Ez'kur') the brother (Hud)
(Akhaa) of Ad (Åådin), when (Iz') he warned (Anzara)
his people (Qaw'ma-hu) of the dunes (Bil' Ah'qaafi)*, while (Wa) warnings (En'Nuzuru) had already (Qad')
passed (Khalati) before it (Min Bai'di Yadai'hi) and after it (Min Khal'fi-hi) that, “Do not (Alla) worship
(Ta'buduu') except (illa) GOD (Ellaha). Indeed, I (Innii) fear for you (Akhaafu Ålai'kum) the punishment
(Åzaaba) of a terrible (Åziim) day (Yaw'min)."
[46:22] They said (Qaalu'), "Did you come (Aji'ta-naa) to (Li) lie to us (Ta'fika-naa) about (Ån') our gods (Aalihati-naa)? Then (Fa) bring us (Eti-naa Bi) what (Maa) you promised us (Taedu-naa), if (In) you should
be (Kunta) of (Mina) the truthful (Es'Soadiqiin)."
[46:23] He (Hud)
said (Qaala), "The knowledge (El' il'mu) is only (Innamaa) with GOD (Endallahi), and (Wa) I
notify you (Uballigu-kum) what (Maa) I have been sent with (Ur'sil'tu Bi-hi), but (Walaakinnii) I see you
(Araa-kum’) are an ignorant (Taj'haluun) people (Qaw'man)."
[46:24] And (Fa) when (Lamma) they saw it (the promise)
(Ra'aw'hu) as a storm (Ååridoan) coming to
(Mus'taq'bila) their valleys (Aw'diyati-him’), they said (Qaalu'), "This (Haaza) storm (Ååridun) will abound us
with rain (Mumtiru-naa)." “But rather (Bal'), it (Huwa) is what (Maa) you were hastening for (Es'ta'jal'tum
Bi-hi); a wind (Riihun) in which (Fiiha) there is a painful (Aliim) punishment (Åzaabun),
[46:25] destroying (Tudammiru) all (Kulla) things (Shai'in) by (Bi) the command (Am'ri) of its LORD
(Rabbi-haa).” And (Fa) they became (As'bahu') unseen (Laa Yuraa) except (illa) their houses (Masaakinu-
hum). Thus (Kazaalika) did We requite (Naj'zii) the criminal (El'Muj'rimiin) people (El'Qaw'ma).
[46:26] And (Wa) We had certainly (Laqad') established them (Makkannaa-hum) in that which (Fiimaa)
We have not (In) established you (Makkannaa-kum) therein (Fiihi), and We granted them (Jaål'naa Lahum)

(Sam'ån), eyesight 2
(Ab'soaran) and minds 3
(Af'idatan); but (Fa) neither (Maa) did their hearing
(Sam'u-hum) nor (Walaa) their eyesight (Ab'soaru-hum) nor (Walaa) their minds (Af'idatu-hum) avail them
(Ag'naa Ån'hum) at all (Min Shai'in) when (Iz') they were (Kaanu') rejecting (Yaj'haduuna Bi) the verses of
GOD (Aayaati-llahi); and (Wa) they were afflicted (Haaqa Bi-him) for what (Maa) they were (Kaanu')
ridiculing (Yas'tah'ziuun Bihi).
