وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا أَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الشَّيْطَانُ بِنُصْبٍ وَعَذَابٍ
আৰু স্মৰণ কৰা, আমাৰ বান্দা আইয়্যুবক, যেতিয়া তেওঁ নিজ প্ৰতিপালকক আহ্বান কৰি কৈছিল, ‘নিশ্চয় মোক চয়তানে যন্ত্ৰণা আৰু কষ্টত পেলাইছে’,

۞ إِنَّا أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ كَمَا أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ نُوحٍ وَالنَّبِيِّينَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ ۚ وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالْأَسْبَاطِ وَعِيسَىٰ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُونُسَ وَهَارُونَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ ۚ وَآتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ زَبُورًا
নিশ্চয় আমি তোমাৰ ওচৰত অহী প্ৰেৰণ কৰিছো, যেনেকৈ নূহ আৰু তেওঁৰ পৰৱৰ্তী নবীসকলৰ প্ৰতি অহী প্ৰেৰণ কৰিছিলো; আৰু ইব্ৰাহীম, ইছমাঈল, ইছহাক্ব, ইয়াক্বূব আৰু তেওঁৰ বংশধৰ, ঈছা, আইয়ুব, ইউনুছ, হাৰুন আৰু ছুলাইমানৰ ওচৰতো অহী প্ৰেৰণ কৰিছিলো আৰু দাঊদক প্ৰদান কৰিছিলো যাবূৰ।

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ ۚ كُلًّا هَدَيْنَا ۚ وَنُوحًا هَدَيْنَا مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِ دَاوُودَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُوسُفَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
আৰু আমি তেওঁক দান কৰিছিলো ইছহাক্ব আৰু ইয়াকূব, এওঁলোকৰ প্ৰত্যেককে হিদায়ত দিছিলো; ইয়াৰ পূৰ্বে নুহকো আমি হিদায়ত দিছিলো আৰু তেওঁৰ বংশধৰ দাউদ, ছুলাইমান, আইয়ুব, ইউছুফ, মূছা আৰু হাৰূনকো; এইদৰেই আমি মুহছিনসকলক পুৰস্কৃত কৰো;

۞ وَأَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
আৰু স্মৰণ কৰা আইয়ূবক, যেতিয়া তেওঁ নিজ প্ৰতিপালকক আহ্বান কৰি কৈছিল, ‘নিশ্চয় মই দুখ-কষ্টত পতিত হৈছো, আৰু তুমি সৰ্বশ্ৰেষ্ঠ দয়ালু’।)

চয়তানে বিশ্বাসীসকলৰ ওপৰত শাৰীৰিক ক্ষতি বা কষ্ট দিব নোৱাৰে -১৫:৪২ আৰু ১৭:৬৫। কেৱল ফুচফুচাই কোৱা আৰু পাপ কৰিবলৈ প্ৰলোভিত কৰিব পাৰে-১৪:২২, ২০:১২০।
অৰ্থাৎ ৩৮:৪১ত আইয়্যুবক(আ:ছা:) পাৰিবাৰিক কাৰণত চয়তানে হতাশ কৰি যন্ত্ৰণা আৰু কষ্টত পেলাইছিল। বাইবেলৰ পৰা কপিমাৰি হাদিসত কোৱাৰ দৰে তেওঁৰ কোনো পোক বা সাপে কামুৰি যন্ত্ৰণা দিয়া নাছিল।

(মই তেওঁক ক’লো,) ‘তুমি নিজৰ ভৰিৰে ভূমিত আঘাত কৰা, এয়া হৈছে গা ধুবৰ বাবে সুশীতল পানী আৰু পানীয়’।

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ أَهْلَهُ وَمِثْلَهُمْ مَعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِنَّا وَذِكْرَىٰ لِأُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ
আৰু আমি তেওঁক দান কৰিলো তেওঁৰ পৰিয়ালবৰ্গ আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ দৰে আৰু বহুতো, আমাৰ ফালৰ পৰা অনুগ্ৰহস্বৰূপে আৰু বোধশক্তিসম্পন্ন লোকসকলৰ বাবে উপদেশস্বৰূপ।

فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ فَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِ مِنْ ضُرٍّ ۖ وَآتَيْنَاهُ أَهْلَهُ وَمِثْلَهُمْ مَعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِنْ عِنْدِنَا وَذِكْرَىٰ لِلْعَابِدِينَ

وَخُذْ بِيَدِكَ ضِغْثًا فَاضْرِبْ بِهِ وَلَا تَحْنَثْ ۗ إِنَّا وَجَدْنَاهُ صَابِرًا ۚ نِعْمَ الْعَبْدُ ۖ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ
আৰু (আমি তেওঁক আদেশ কৰিলো) ‘তুমি এমুঠি ঘাঁহ লোৱা আৰু সেইখিনিৰে তুমি কোবোৱা তথাপিও শপত ভংগ নকৰিবা’। নিশ্চয় আমি তেওঁক ধৈৰ্যশীল পাইছিলো। কিমান যে উত্তম বান্দা আছিল তেওঁ! নিশ্চয় তেওঁ আছিল আমাৰ অভিমুখী।

38:44 (And finally We told him,) “Now gather your strength and travel the land and do not break your pledge.” We found him steadfast. How excellent a servant! In every situation he turned to Our laws.(sa).

Hold the grass in your hand and strike with it = Collect your senses and go ahead on your Mission. Under Biblical influence, some ‘experts’ have interpreted this verse to mean that Prophet Job is being commanded to strike his wife with one hundred stripes or a broomstick with a hundred twigs, since she had asked her husband to curse God for his afflictions!

affliction (Nus'bin) and torment (Åzaab).”
[38:42] (he was told)
"Strike (Er'kud') with (Bi) your foot (Rij'li-ka); there is (Haaza) cool (Baaridun) bath
(Mug'tasalu) and (Wa) drink (Sharaab)."
[38:43] And (Wa) We granted him (Wahab'naa Lahu) his family (Ah'la-hu) and the like of them (Mith'la-
hum) along with them (Maåhum') as mercy (Rah'matan) from Us (Minnaa) and a remembrance (Zik'raa) for
(Li) those of intelligence (U'liil' Al'baab).
[38:44] "And (Wa) take (Khuz') a bunch (Dig'than) in (Bi) your hand (Yadi-ka) and (Fa) rub with it (Ed'rib
Bi-hi), and do not (Laa) perjure (Tah'nath')." Indeed (Innaa), We found him (Wajad'naa-hu) patient
(Soabiran); a wonderful (Ni'ma) servant (El'Åb'du). Indeed, he (Job) (Innahu) was repentant (Awwaab).
[38:45] And (Wa) remember (Ez'kur') Our servants (Ebaada-naa), Abraham 1
(Ib'raahiima), Isaac 2
(Is'haaqa)
and Jacob 3
(Ya'quuba); those (U'lii) of strength (Ai'dii) and vision (Wal' Ab'soar).
[38:46] Indeed (Innaa), We dedicated them (Akh'las'naa-hum) with (Bi) an exclusive (Khaalisotin)
remembrance (Zik'raa) of the Home (Ed'Daar).
[38:47] Indeed, they (Innahum) are (La) among (Mina) the chosen (El'Mus'tofai'na) and the best (El'Akh'yaar)
with Us (Endanaa).
[38:48] And (Wa) remember (Ez'kur') Ishmael 4
(Is'maa'eela), Isaiah 5
(El'yasaå) and Ezekiel 6
(Zaal' Kif'li),
and all (Kullun) are among (Mina) the best (El'Akh'yaar).
[38:49] This (Haaza) is a remembrance (Zik'run). And (Wa) indeed (Inna), for the pious (Lil' Muttaqiina) is
(La) a beautiful (Hus'na) resort (Ma'aab).
