كَلَّا وَالْقَمَرِ

কেতিয়াও নহয়, চন্দ্ৰৰ শপত,

This is the oathlike assertion - a calling to witness, as it were - meant (as in the expression "by God!") to give weight to a subsequently stated truth or evidence of the truth: In the present case, the truth thus to be stressed is the implied statement that just as the changing phases of the moon and the alternation of night and day are the outcome of God-given, natural laws, so, too, a sinner's suffering in the hereafter is but a natural outcome of his deliberate wrongdoing in this world.(See on 2:7.)(as).

خَتَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِمْ ۖ وَعَلَىٰ أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ

আল্লাহে সিহঁতৰ হৃদয়সমূহ আৰু সিহঁতৰ শ্ৰৱণশক্তিৰ ওপৰত মোহৰ মাৰি দিছে আৰু সিহঁতৰ দৃষ্টিৰ ওপৰত আছে আৱৰণ । আৰু সিহঁতৰ বাবে আছে মহাশাস্তি।)

هَلْ فِي ذَٰلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِذِي حِجْرٍ

ইয়াৰ মাজত বোধসম্পন্ন ব্যক্তিৰ বাবে দৃঢ় প্ৰমাণ নাইনে?)

74:32.(These people believe that the Law of Mukafat is not in real and that the warning being given about the 

revolution is only an empty threat. This is not so. The revolution is a reality which is bound to occur. Tell 

them to just look at the discipline and order with which the entire system of the universe functions according to 

the Divine Law. Then reflect: Is it difficult for the Almighty, whose limitless forces are doing such a 

wondrous work, to bring about such a revolution?)

নিশ্চয় জাহান্নাম মহাবিপদসমূহৰ অন্যতম,

74:35. (According to this Law, the promised revolution will take place) The revolution will be one of the 

greatest events in human history. (It will rise gradually like the moon and all traces of the darkness of 

ignorance shall disappear by its light. And the truth shall dawn.)pz.

نَذِيرًا لِلْبَشَرِ

মানুহৰ বাবে সতৰ্ককাৰীস্বৰূপ-

তোমালোকৰ মাজত যিয়ে অগ্ৰসৰ হ’ব বিচাৰে অথবা পিছমুৱা হ’ব বিচাৰে তাৰ বাবে।

74:37. Here all matters are decided according to the Law of Mukafat. The rise and fall of nations as well as 

the success and defeat of individuals are due to their own deeds. Whosoever amongst you chooses, can either 

move forward or lag behind. (The purpose behind the guidance and the struggle between right and wrong is 

that whosoever wants to move to the higher stages of evolution, can do so by his own effort. If one wishes to,

কিন্তু সোঁপন্থী লোকসকলৰ বাহিৰে,

‘আৰু আমি দুখীয়াক খাদ্য দান কৰা নাছিলো,

وَكُنَّا نَخُوضُ مَعَ الْخَائِضِينَ

وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ الَّذِينَ يَخُوضُونَ فِي آيَاتِنَا فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَخُوضُوا فِي حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِ ۚ وَإِمَّا يُنْسِيَنَّكَ الشَّيْطَانُ فَلَا تَقْعُدْ بَعْدَ الذِّكْرَىٰ مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ

আৰু তুমি যেতিয়া সিহঁতক দেখিবলৈ পাবা, যিসকলে আমাৰ আয়াতসমূহৰ বিষয়ে উপহাসমূলক আলোচনাত মগ্ন হয়, তেতিয়া তুমি সিহঁতৰ পৰা মূখ ঘূৰাই ল’বা, যেতিয়ালৈকে সিহঁতে আন প্ৰসংগ আৰম্ভ নকৰিব। আৰু যদি চয়তানে তোমাক পাহৰাই দিয়ে তেন্তে স্মৰণ হোৱাৰ পিছত যালিম সম্প্ৰদায়ৰ লগত নবহিবা।

وَكُنَّا نُكَذِّبُ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ

আৰু আমি প্ৰতিদান দিৱসক অস্বীকাৰ কৰিছিলো,

এতেকে সিহঁতৰ কি হৈছে, কিয় সিহঁতে উপদেশবাণীৰ* পৰা বিমুখ হৈছে?

সিহঁতে যেন ভীত-সন্ত্ৰস্ত হৈ পলায়নৰত বনৰীয়া গাধ।

فَرَّتْ مِنْ قَسْوَرَةٍ

যিবোৰে সিংহৰ ভয়ত পলায়ন কৰিছে।

بَلْ يُرِيدُ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ أَنْ يُؤْتَىٰ صُحُفًا مُنَشَّرَةً

বৰং সিহঁতৰ মাজৰ প্ৰত্যেক ব্যক্তিয়েই কামনা কৰে যে তাক উন্মুক্ত গ্ৰন্থ প্ৰদান কৰা হওক।

2. (It is not that they do not understand what they are being told. They certainly do understand it. But 

the fact of the matter is that their selfish interests do not allow them to come this way. The Divine Order 

requires a collective life where everyone’s interests are common. However) Every one of them wants that his 

business interests be spread out and function independently. They desire that the socio-economic system 

should not be subjected to any common control; and that it should be left to one's own likes. Instead of 

striving for collective good, everyone should pursue individual interests*.

(*The capitalistic system is based on individual enterprise and laissez-faire. In it the individuals are free to amass as 

much wealth as they desire. The collective system of government does not interfere in their business. These verses 

point in that direction)pz.

وَمَا يَذْكُرُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ هُوَ أَهْلُ التَّقْوَىٰ وَأَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ

আৰু আল্লাহৰ ইচ্ছা অবিহনে কোনোৱেই উপদেশ গ্ৰহণ কৰিব নোৱাৰে তেৱেঁই ভয়ৰ যোগ্য, কেৱল তেওঁৰেই তাক্বৱা অৱলম্বন কৰা, আৰু তেৱেঁই ক্ষমা কৰাৰ অধিকাৰী।

74:56. But only those who harmonize their objectives and designs with the Divine Laws will keep it in mind. These are the people who guard the Divine Laws; and they will be safe from calamities and destruction (76:30;

[74:32] Nay (Kallaa)! By (Wa) the moon (El'Qamar),

[74:33] and (Wa) the night (Ellai'li) when (Iz') it escapes (Ad'bar),

[74:34] and (Wa) the morning (Es'Sub'hi) when (Izaa) it appears (As'far).

[74:35] Indeed, it (Innahaa) is (La) one (Ih'daa) of the major (El'Kubar)

[74:36] warnings (Naziiran) to mankind (Lil' Bashar);

[74:37] for (Li) whoever (Man) among you (Minkum') wants (Shaa'a) to (An) advance (Yataqaddama) or 

(Aw') stay behind (Yata-akkhar). 

[74:38] Every (Kullu) soul (Naf'si) will be a hostage (Rahiinat’) by what (Bimaa) it has earned (Kasabat')

[74:39] except (illa) the Companions of the right side (As'haabal' Yamiin),

[74:40] in (Fii) gardens (Jannaatin), asking each other (Yatasaa'aluun)

[74:41] about (Åni) the criminals (El'Muj'rimiin),

[74:42] "What (Maa) put you (p) (Salaka-kum') in (Fii) hellfire (Saqar)?"

[74:43] They (the criminals) will say (Qaalu'), "We were (Naku) not (Lam') of (Mina) the worshippers (70:22)

(El'Musolliin),

[74:44] nor (Walam') did we (Naku) feed (Nut'emu) the poor (El'Mis'kiin),

[74:45] and (Wa) we used to (Kunnaa) engage (6:68) (Nakhuudu) with (Maå) those who engaged (El'Khaaidiin), 

[74:46] and (Wa) We used to (Kunnaa) deny (Nukazzibu Bi) the Day of Judgement (Yaw'mi-d'Diin)

[74:47] until (Hattaa) the certainty (102:5) (El’Yaqiin) came to us (Ataa-naa)." 

[74:48] Therefore (Fa) the intercession (2:48) (Shafaa'åtu) of the intercessors (Es'Shaafieen) will not (Maa)

benefit them (Tanfau-hum'). 

[74:49] So (Fa) why are they (Maa La-hum') turning away from (Mu'ridiin Åni) the reminder (73:19) (Ettaz'kirati), 

[74:50] as if they (Ka'annahum') were alerted (Mus'tanfira’) donkeys (Humurun)

[74:51] fleeing (Farrat') from (Min) the lion (Qas'wara’)?!

[74:52] In fact (Bal'), every (Kullu) person (Em'ri'i) among them (Min'hum') wants (Yuriidu) to (An) be given (Yu'taa) spread out (Munasshara’) pages (Suhufaan). 

[74:53] Nay (Kallaa)! But (Bal) they do not (Laa) fear (Yakhaafuuna) the hereafter (11:103) (El'Aakhira'). 

[74:54] Nay (Kallaa)! Indeed, it (Innahu) is a reminder (Taz'kira’),

[74:55] so (Fa) whoever (Man) wills (Shaa'a) should remember it (Zakara-hu),

[74:56] and (Wa) none (Maa) will remember (Yaz'kuruuna) unless (illaa An) GOD wills (Yashaa'a-llahu). He 

(the human) (Huwa) must be qualified (Ah'lu)

for piousness (Ettaq'waa) and (Wa) qualified (Ah'lu)

for forgiveness
