আৰ-ৰাহমান, (দয়াময় আল্লাহ)

God is merciful: his mercy manifests, not by absolving a person's sins but in providing the means to protect, heal or supply the means for progressing a useful life. The balm we put on our wounds, the earth's atmosphere preventing harmful light from reaching us, the water to grow our food: all these gifts are mercies from God. عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ
তেৱেঁই শিক্ষা দিছে কোৰআন,

وَإِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِنْ بَنِي آدَمَ مِنْ ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَأَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَىٰ أَنْفُسِهِمْ أَلَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ ۖ قَالُوا بَلَىٰ ۛ شَهِدْنَا ۛ أَنْ تَقُولُوا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّا كُنَّا عَنْ هَٰذَا غَافِلِينَ
আৰু স্মৰণ কৰা, যেতিয়া তোমাৰ প্ৰতিপালকে আদম সন্তানৰ পিঠিৰ পৰা তাৰ বংশধৰক উলিয়াইছিল আৰু সিহঁতৰ নিজৰ বিষয়ে স্বীকাৰোক্তি গ্ৰহণ কৰিছিল আৰু কৈছিল, ‘মই তোমালোকৰ ৰব নহয় নে? সিহঁতে কৈছিল, ‘হয় নিশ্চয়, আমি সাক্ষী থাকিলো’। এইটো এইবাবে যে, তোমালোকে যাতে কিয়ামতৰ দিনা ক’ব নোৱাৰা যে, আমি এই বিষয়ে জনাই নাছিলো।)

الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ

55:5. And for human guidance there are unchangeable laws in the Quran; just as
there are laws in force in outer universe according to which (for example) the sun and the moon follow their determined orbits.

তুমি দেখা নাইনে যে, আকাশসমূহত যি আছে আৰু পৃথিৱীত যি আছে সেই সকলোবোৰে আল্লাহকেই ছাজদাহ কৰে, আৰু সূৰ্য্য, চন্দ্ৰ, নক্ষত্ৰমণ্ডলী, পৰ্বতৰাজি, বৃক্ষলতা, জীৱ-জন্তুৰ লগতে বহুতো মানুহেও ছাজদাহ কৰে? আৰু বহুতৰে প্ৰতি সাব্যস্ত হৈছে শাস্তি। আল্লাহে যাক অপমানিত কৰে তাক সন্মানদাতা কোনো নাই; নিশ্চয় আল্লাহে যি ইচ্ছা সেইটোৱে কৰে।

وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ
আৰু তেৱেঁই আকাশখনক সমুন্নত কৰিছে আৰু স্থাপন কৰিছে তুলাচনী,

The noun mizan, usually denoting a "balance", has here the more general connotation of "measure" or "measuring" by any means whatsoever , in both the concrete and abstract senses of the word. (Cf. also the parabolic use of the term mizan in 42:17 and 57:25.)

যাতে তোমালোকে জোখ-মাখত সীমালঙ্ঘন নকৰা।

وَأَقِيمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيزَانَ

55:10/11/12. The necessity to create scales of justice arose because We have not
earmarked separately for individuals the things required for nourishing the human
body. For example the means for producing delicious fruits; date-palms with sheathed clusters; grain inside husks; and colourful flowers full of fragrance have been provided for all human beings collectively. We have set Quran as a scale for the distribution of these means, so that everyone obtains sustenance according to one’s needs. (If these permanent guiding principles were not given from God and everything was left to the will of men, then the stronger would have collected and retained everything for themselves while the weak would have been deprived of their necessities of life. This is happening in this world wherever the Divine Laws are being ignored.)pz.

[55:1] The GRACIOUS (Er' Rah'maan)*;
[55:2] HE taught (Ållama) the Koran (El'Qur'aan),
[55:3] HE created (Khalaqa) the human being (El' Insaan);
[55:4] HE taught him (Ållama-hu) declaration (3:138) (El'Bayaan).
[55:5] The sun (Es'Shamsu) and (Wa) the moon (El'Qamaru) by (Bi) calculation (Hus'baan).
[55:6] And (Wa) the stars (En'Naj'mu) and (Wa) the trees (Es'Shajaru) prostrate (Yas'judaan).
[55:7] As for (Wa) the sky (Es'Samaa'a); HE raised it (Rafaå-ha) and laid down (Wadoå) a balance (El'Miizaan),
[55:8] that do not (Alla) transgress (Tat'gaw') in (Fii) the balance (El'Miizaan),
[55:9] but (Wa) establish (Aqiimu') the weighing (El'Waz'na) in justice (Bil' Qis'ti) and do not (Walaa) cause
loss to (Tukh'siru') the balance (El'Miizaan).
[55:10] And (Wa) the earth (El'Ar'do) HE laid it down (Wadoå-ha) for the living creatures (Lil' Anaam),
[55:11] therein (Fiiha) are fruits (Faakihatun) and (Wa) date palms (En'Nakh'lu) containing (Zaatu) sleeves
(El'Ak'maam),
[55:12] and (Wa) grain (El'Habbu), having (Zuu) chaff (El'Ås'fi) and sweet basil (Er'Rai'haan).
[55:13] So (Fa) in (Bi) which (Ayyi) favours (Aalaai) of your LORD (Rabbi-kumaa) would you (man & jinn) deny
