كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ بِالنُّذُرِ

إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حَاصِبًا إِلَّا آلَ لُوطٍ ۖ نَجَّيْنَاهُمْ بِسَحَرٍ

নিশ্চয় আমি সিহঁতৰ ওপৰত শিল বহনকাৰী প্ৰচণ্ড ধুমুহা পঠিয়াইছিলো, কেৱল লূত পৰিয়ালৰ বাহিৰে; তেওঁলোকক আমি উদ্ধাৰ কৰিছিলো ৰাতিৰ শেষাংশত,

54:34. We sent on them a violent storm of volcanic stones that left no one alive, 

except Lot and his companions whom We had rescued from there early in the 

morning (51:32-34).(sa).

(৫১:৩২-৩৪

قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُجْرِمِينَ

তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, ‘নিশ্চয় আমি এটা অপৰাধী সম্প্ৰদায়ৰ প্ৰতি প্ৰেৰিত হৈছো’।

لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِنْ طِينٍ

আৰু নিশ্চয় লূতে সিহঁতক আমাৰ কঠিন শাস্তিৰ পৰা সতৰ্ক কৰিছিল, তথাপিও সিহঁতে সাৱধান বাণী সম্পৰ্কে সন্দেহ পোষণ কৰিছিল।

وَلَقَدْ رَاوَدُوهُ عَنْ ضَيْفِهِ فَطَمَسْنَا أَعْيُنَهُمْ فَذُوقُوا عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ

আৰু নিশ্চয় সিহঁতে লূতৰ পৰা তেওঁৰ অতিথিসকলৰ পৰা অসৎ উদ্দেশ্য দাবী কৰিলে, তেতিয়া আমি সিহঁতৰ দৃষ্টি লোপ কৰি দিলো (আৰু ক’লো), মোৰ শাস্তি আৰু সাৱধান বাণীৰ সোৱাদ লোৱা।

وَلَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُمْ بُكْرَةً عَذَابٌ مُسْتَقِرٌّ

আৰু নিশ্চয় পুৱা দোকমোকালিতে সিহঁতৰ ওপৰত বিৰামহীন শাস্তি নামি আহিছিল।

فَذُوقُوا عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ

كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ أَخْذَ عَزِيزٍ مُقْتَدِرٍ

সিহঁতে আমাৰ সকলো নিদৰ্শনকে অস্বীকাৰ কৰিলে, এতেকে আমি মহাপৰাক্ৰমশালী আৰু সৰ্বশক্তিমানৰূপে সিহঁতক ধৰিলো।

أَكُفَّارُكُمْ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أُولَٰئِكُمْ أَمْ لَكُمْ بَرَاءَةٌ فِي الزُّبُرِ

তোমালোকৰ মাজৰ কাফিৰসকল সেইসকল কাফিৰতকৈ উত্তম নেকি? নে তোমালোকৰ বাবে পূৰ্বৱৰ্তী কিতাবত কোনো মুক্তিৰ ঘোষণা* আছে?

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ جَمِيعٌ مُنْتَصِرٌ

নে সিহঁতে কয়, ‘আমি সংঘবদ্ধ অপৰাজেয় দল’?

سَيُهْزَمُ الْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ الدُّبُرَ

এই দল অনতিপলমে পৰাজিত হ’ব আৰু পিঠি দেখুৱাই পলায়ন কৰিব,

بَلِ السَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَالسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ

বৰং কিয়ামত সিহঁতৰ শাস্তিৰ নিৰ্ধাৰিত সময়; আৰু কিয়ামত হৈছে অতি ভয়াৱহ আৰু তিক্তকৰ;

إِنَّ الْمُجْرِمِينَ فِي ضَلَالٍ وَسُعُرٍ

নিশ্চয় অপৰাধীসকল বিভ্ৰান্তি আৰু শাস্তিত আছে।

যিদিনা সিহঁতক নাক চোঁচৰাই টানি জাহান্নামত লৈ যোৱা হ’ব (সেই দিনা কোৱা হ’ব)* ‘এতিয়া জাহান্নামৰ স্পৰ্শ ভোগ কৰা’।

إِنَّا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَاهُ بِقَدَرٍ

নিশ্চয় আমি প্ৰতিটো বস্তু এটা নিৰ্ধাৰিত পৰিমাপত সৃষ্টি কৰিছো।

sequence/spiral is apparent in petals, leaves and in the orbit of the galaxies. This can only be by

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا إِذَا مَسَّهُمْ طَائِفٌ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ تَذَكَّرُوا فَإِذَا هُمْ مُبْصِرُونَ

নিশ্চয় যিসকলে তাক্বৱা অৱলম্বন কৰিছে, তেওঁলোকক চয়তানে যেতিয়া কুমন্ত্ৰণা দিয়ে তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে আল্লাহক স্মৰণ কৰে, লগে লগে সিহঁতৰ দৃষ্টি প্ৰকট হয়।

وَمَا هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِلْعَالَمِينَ

অথচ এই কোৰআন কেৱল বিশ্ববাসীৰ বাবে উপদেশ।

وَمَا أَمْرُنَا إِلَّا وَاحِدَةٌ كَلَمْحٍ بِالْبَصَرِ

54:50 and Our ordaining [a thing and its coming into being] is but one [act], like the twinkling of an eye.

I.e., there is no time lag and no conceptual difference between God's "willing" the creation of a thing and His "creating" it, for "when He wills a thing to be, He but says unto it, 'Be' - and it is" (2:117, 3:47, 16:40, 

19:35, 36:82 and 40:68). The comparison with the "twinkling of an eye" is, of course, merely idiomatic, i.e., based on the human concept of something instantaneous. 54:52 [They were truly guilty] because all [the evil] that they ever did had been [revealed to them as such] in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom;(as).

I.e., the ancient revealed scriptures (az-zubur) had made the meaning of good and evil absolutely clear to them, but they willfully disregarded or even consciously rejected that teaching. فِي مَقْعَدِ صِدْقٍ عِنْدَ مَلِيكٍ مُقْتَدِرٍ

যথাযোগ্য আসনত, সৰ্বশক্তিমান মহা অধিপতি (আল্লাহ)ৰ সান্নিধ্যত।

অনতিপলমে আমি সিহঁতক আমাৰ নিদৰ্শনাৱলী দেখুৱাম, বিশ্বজগতৰ প্ৰান্তসমূহত আৰু সিহঁতৰ নিজৰ মাজতো; যাতে সিহঁতৰ ওচৰত সুস্পষ্ট হৈ উঠে যে, অৱশ্যে এইটো (কোৰআন) সত্য। এইটো তোমাৰ প্ৰতিপালক সম্পৰ্কে যথেষ্ট নহয়নে যে, তেওঁ সকলো বস্তুৰ ওপৰত সাক্ষী?

[54:33] The people (Qaw'mu) of Lot (53:53) (Luuti) denied (Kazzabat' Bi) the warnings (En'Nuzur).

[54:34] Indeed (Innaa), We sent (Ar'sal'naa) a storm (Haasiban) against them (Ålai'him), except (illaa) the 

family (Aala) of Lot (Luutin); We rescued them (Najjai'naa-hum) before (Bi) dawn (Sahar),

[54:35] as blessing (Ni'matan) from Us (Min Endi-naa). Thus (Kazaalika) do We reward (Naj'zii) whoever

(Man) is thankful (Shakar). 

[54:36] And (Wa) We certainly (Laqad') warned them (Anzara-hum) of Our strike (attack) (Bat'shata-naa), but 

(Fa) they disputed (Tamaaraw') with (Bi) the warnings (Nuzur).

[54:37] And (Wa) certainly (Laqad') they enticed him (Lot) (Raawaduu-hu) concerning (Ån) his guests 

(Doi'fi-hi), so (Fa) We obliterated (Tomas'naa) their eyes (A'yuna-hum’); “so (Fa) taste (Zuuqu') MY 

punishment (Åzaabii) and warnings (Nuzur).”

[54:38] And (Wa) certainly (Laqad') a settling (Mus'taqirr) punishment (Åzaabun) greeted them (Sobbaha-

hum) early in the morning (Buk'ratan). 

[54:39] “So (Fa) taste (Zuuqu') MY punishment (Åzaabii) and (Wa) warnings (Nuzur).”

[54:40] And (Wa) We have certainly (Laqad') made the Koran (El'Qur'aana) easy (-Yassar'naa) for 

remembrance (Liz’ Zik'ri), so (Fa) is (Hal') there any (Min) remembrance (Muddakir)?

[54:41] And (Wa) certainly (Laqad') the warnings (En'Nuzur) came (Jaa'a) to the people (Aala) of Pharaoh 

(Fir'åw'na),

[54:42] they denied (Kazzabu' Bi) all of (Kullihaa) Our signs (Aayaati-naa), so (Fa) We seized them 

(Akhaz'naa-hum') with a mighty (Åziizin) and powerful (Muq'tadir) seizure (Akh'za).

[54:43] Are (A-) your disbelievers (p) (-Kuffaaru-kum') better (Khai'run) than (Min') those (U'laaikum'), or 

(Am') do you have (Lakum) a permit (9:1) (Baraa'atun) in (Fii) the scriptures (Ez'Zubur)?

[54:44] Or (Am') are they saying (Yaquuluuna), "We (Nah'nu) will all (Jamii'un) be defended (Muntasir)?"

[54:45] The assembly (theirs) (El'Jam'u) will be defeated (Sa Yuh'zamu) and (Wa) they will turn (Yuwalluuna)

their backs (Ed'Dubur). 

[54:46] In fact (Bali), the Hour (Es'Saa'åtu) is their appointment (Maw'edu-hum'), and (Wa) the Hour 

(Es'Saa'åtu) is craftier (Ad'haa) and more bitter (Amarr). 

[54:47] Indeed (Inna), the criminals (El'Muj'rimiina) are in (Fii) error (Dolaalin) and (Wa) madness (Su'ur). 

[54:48] It is the day (Yaw'ma) they will be dragged into (Yus'buuna Fii) the Fire (En'Naari) on (Ålaa) their 

faces (Wujuuhi-him'), "Taste (Zuuqu') the touch (Massa) of Hell (Saqar).

[54:49] Indeed (Innaa), We created (Khalaq'naahu) all (Kulla) things (Shai'in) by (Bi) destiny (Qadar),

[54:50] and (Wa) Our command (Am'ru-naa) is only (Maa illa) at once (Waahidatun) as (Ka) a glance 

(Lam'hi) of (Bi) the eyesight (El'Basor). 

[54:51] And (Wa) We have certainly (Laqad') annihilated (Ah'lak'naa) your partisans (the predecessors) (Ash'yaa'å-

kum’), so (Fa) is (Hal') there any (Min) remembrance (Muddakir)? 

[54:52] And (Wa) everything (Kullu Shai'in) they did (Faåluu-hu) is in (Fii) the scriptures

(16:44) (Ez'Zubur),

[54:53] and (Wa) everything (Kullu) small (Sogiirin) and big (Kabiirin) has been jotted down (Mus'tator).

[54:54] Indeed (Inna), the pious (El'Muttaqiina) will be in (Fii) gardens (Jannaatin) with (Wa) rivers (Nahar),

[54:55] in (Fii) a seat (Maq'ådi) of integrity (Sid'qin) in front of (Enda) a competent (Muq'tadir) Governance

(Maliikin).
