وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَلِقَائِهِ أُولَٰئِكَ يَئِسُوا مِنْ رَحْمَتِي وَأُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
আৰু যিসকলে আল্লাহৰ নিদৰ্শনক আৰু তেওঁৰ সাক্ষাতক অস্বীকাৰ কৰে, সিহঁতেই মোৰ অনুগ্ৰহৰ পৰা নিৰাশ হৈছে, আৰু সিহঁতৰ বাবেই আছে যন্ত্ৰণাদায়ক শাস্তি।

✍️Verse/note:
29:23 Those who reject God’s messages and the meeting with Him, it is those who will despair of My mercy. And for them is an awful doom.(sa).

They disbelieve in the Divine Plan and in the advanced form of life in the Hereafter. 56:61

عَلَىٰ أَنْ نُبَدِّلَ أَمْثَالَكُمْ وَنُنْشِئَكُمْ فِي مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
তোমালোকৰ স্থানত তোমালোকৰ সদৃশ* আনিবলৈ আৰু তোমালোকক এনে এটা আকৃতিত সৃষ্টি কৰিবলৈ যিটো তোমালোকে নাজানা।
(*Lit., "changing your likenesses (amthal)". However, the term mathal signifies also, tropically, the state, condition and the qualities (sifat) of a thing or person - in brief, "the nature of his [or its] existence").

🟤২৯:২৪(MALAIKA VISIT ABRAHAM AND LOT)
فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا اقْتُلُوهُ أَوْ حَرِّقُوهُ فَأَنْجَاهُ اللَّهُ مِنَ النَّارِ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ
উত্তৰত ইব্ৰাহীমৰ সম্প্ৰদায়ে কেৱল এই কথাষাৰকে ক'লে, ইয়াক হত্যা কৰা অথবা জুইত জ্বলাই দিয়া। তাৰ পিছত আল্লাহে তেওঁক জুইৰ পৰা ৰক্ষা কৰিলে। নিশ্চয় ইয়াত আছে বহুতো নিদৰ্শন, এনে সম্প্ৰদায়ৰ বাবে যিসকলে ঈমান পোষণ কৰে।

✍️Verse/note:
29:24 (Abraham explained these facts to his people) but their only answer was, "Slay him or burn him alive!" But God saved him from their fiery rage. In this history, there are lessons for believers (such as, when people have no sensible answers, they resort to threats and violence. 21:68-69, 37:96-97)sa.

قَالُوا حَرِّقُوهُ وَانْصُرُوا آلِهَتَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ فَاعِلِينَ
সিহঁতে ক’লে, ‘যদি তোমালোকে কিবা কৰিব বিচৰা তেন্তে ইয়াক জুইত পুৰি মাৰি পেলোৱা আৰু তোমালোকৰ উপাস্যবোৰক সহায় কৰা’।
২১:৬৯✔️
قُلْنَا يَا نَارُ كُونِي بَرْدًا وَسَلَامًا عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
আমি ক’লো, ‘হে জুই! তুমি ইব্ৰাহীমৰ বাবে শীতল আৰু নিৰাপদ হৈ যোৱা’।

৩৭:৯৬-৯৭
وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
‘অথচ আল্লাহেই সৃষ্টি কৰিছে তোমালোকক আৰু তোমালোকে যি তৈয়াৰ কৰা সেইটোৱো তেৱেঁই সৃষ্টি কৰিছে’।
৩৭:৯৭
قَالُوا ابْنُوا لَهُ بُنْيَانًا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِي الْجَحِيمِ
সিহঁতে ক’লে, ‘ইয়াৰ বাবে এটা স্থাপনা তৈয়াৰ কৰা, তাৰ পিছত ইয়াক জ্বলন্ত জুইত নিক্ষেপ কৰা’।)

وَقَالَ إِنَّمَا اتَّخَذْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَوْثَانًا مَوَدَّةَ بَيْنِكُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ ثُمَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَكْفُرُ بَعْضُكُمْ بِبَعْضٍ وَيَلْعَنُ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا وَمَأْوَاكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ نَاصِرِينَ
ইব্ৰাহীমে আৰু ক’লে, ‘তোমালোকে দেখোন আল্লাহৰ পৰিবৰ্তে মূৰ্তিবোৰকহে উপাস্যৰূপে গ্ৰহণ কৰিছা, পাৰ্থিৱ জীৱনত তোমালোকৰ পাৰস্পাৰিক বন্ধুত্বৰ খাতিৰত। কিন্তু কিয়ামতৰ দিনা তোমালোকে ইজনে সিজনক অস্বীকাৰ* কৰিবা আৰু পৰস্পৰে পৰস্পৰক অভিশাপ কৰিবা। তোমালোকৰ আবাস হ’ব জাহান্নাম আৰু তোমালোকৰ কোনো সহায়কাৰী নাথাকিব’।
(*This idol-worship is a result of a mere blind imitation (taqlid) of attitudes inherited from past generations).

25. Abraham also told them, "You have chosen to worship idols instead of Allah; not
because you actually consider them as your deities, for in reality you know the facts. Inspite
of all this, the only reason you keep on clinging to them is because this attitude of reverence
unites your nation. This is the only bond between your people; and your worldly benefits are
due to this bond.*
But when the results of your erroneous way of life will confront you, you will oppose
one another and this unity will break. At that time, you will have none to succour you; and
far worse than the one in which you wanted to throw me, will be the fire which will destroy you completely."

*This is similar to the national unity resulting from cow worship in India. It has no other
reason. That is why all their leaders, inspite of considering the idea of animal worship to
be absurd, place emphasis on it.

۞ فَآمَنَ لَهُ لُوطٌ ۘ وَقَالَ إِنِّي مُهَاجِرٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّي ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
তাৰ পিছত লূতে তেওঁৰ ওপৰত বিশ্বাস স্থাপন কৰিলে। আৰু ইব্ৰাহীমে ক'লে, মই মোৰ প্ৰতিপালকৰ উদ্দেশ্যে হিজৰত কৰিছো। নিশ্চয় তেওঁ মহাপৰাক্ৰমশালী, প্ৰজ্ঞাময়।

29:26. (Inspite of all the warnings of Abraham, it was only Lot who believed him. At that time Abraham had not been bestowed with Nubuwwah.) When Abraham was fully convinced that these people were not going to listen to him, he moved aside and left them
saying, "I am going in search of that place where circumstances are favourable for the
establishment of the Divine Order ordained by my Rabb. He alone is Almighty and truly
wise." (If the circumstances here are not conducive to my supremacy, logic tells me to move to another place which is better suited. My mission is to establish the Divine Order. If this piece of land is not suitable, let me find another ~ 37:99.)pz.

29:26 Thereupon [his brother's son] Lot came to believe in him and said: “Verily, I [too] shall forsake the domain of evil [and turn] to my Sustainer: for, verily, He alone is almighty, truly wise!"(as)
Note/History:
For an explanation of the concept of hijrah and above rendering of the term muhajir, see surah 2:218. In the present instance this term is obviously used in both its physical and spiritual senses, analogous to the earlier allusion (in 19:48) to Abraham's "withdrawal" (I'tizal) from his evil, native environment and to his physical migration to Harran (in northern Mesopotamia), and thence to Syria and Palestine. The story of lot (Lut) is mentioned in the Qur'an several times, and particularly in 11:69.(as).

Note/History:
From the kingdom of Nimrod Shaddad in Babylon, Abraham emigrated to Syria-Can’aan. Lot, Abraham’s nephew, was later commissioned as a Prophet and sent to Sodom and Gomorrah by the Dead Sea. 37:99(sa).

وَقَالَ إِنِّي ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ
তেওঁ ক’লে, ‘মই মোৰ প্ৰতিপালকৰ ওচৰলৈ গৈ আছো, নিশ্চয় তেৱেঁই মোক হিদায়ত কৰিব,)

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِي ذُرِّيَّتِهِ النُّبُوَّةَ وَالْكِتَابَ وَآتَيْنَاهُ أَجْرَهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَإِنَّهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ لَمِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
আৰু আমি ইব্ৰাহীমক দান কৰিলো ইছহাক্ব আৰু ইয়াকূব। লগতে তেওঁৰ বংশধৰসকলৰ বাবে স্থিৰ কৰিলো নবূওৱত আৰু কিতাব। আমি তেওঁক তেওঁৰ প্ৰতিদান পৃথিৱীতেই দান কৰিছিলো আৰু আখিৰাততো তেওঁ নিশ্চয় সৎকৰ্মপৰায়ণসকলৰ অন্যতম হ’ব।

29:27. (Consequently he left his people and went to a place where he established a Divine Order as per Allah’s Laws. There) We bestowed upon him a son Isaac and grandson Jacob, and assured him of the continuance of Nubuwwat and authority in his progeny (4:54).
And thus We rewarded him for his efforts in this world; and in the life hereafter he is counted among the righteous ones. In this way, both his present and future became pleasant.pz.

29:27 And [as for Abraham,] We bestowed upon him Isaac and [Isaac's son] Jacob,* and caused prophethood and revelation to continue among his offspring. And We vouchsafed him his reward in this world;** and, verily, in the life to come [too] he shall find himself among the righteous (as).

I.e., in addition to Ishmael (lsma'il). who had been born some years earlier (cf. 21:72).

وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ إِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُمْ بِهَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِنَ الْعَالَمِينَ
আৰু স্মৰণ কৰা লূতৰ কথা, যেতিয়া তেওঁ নিজ সম্প্ৰদায়ক কৈছিল, ‘নিশ্চয় তোমালোকে এনেকুৱা অশ্লীল কাম কৰিছা যিটো তোমালোকৰ পূৰ্বে সৃষ্টিজগতৰ কোনেও কৰা নাই’।

29:28. Likewise is the story of Lot who (after he was bestowed with Nubuwwat) told his
people, "Verily you commit abomination of the kind that has never been committed before in
the world.pz.

أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الرِّجَالَ وَتَقْطَعُونَ السَّبِيلَ وَتَأْتُونَ فِي نَادِيكُمُ الْمُنْكَرَ ۖ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا ائْتِنَا بِعَذَابِ اللَّهِ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ
‘তোমালোকেই পুৰুষৰ ওচৰত গমন কৰা (কাম তৃপ্তিৰ বাবে), আৰু তোমালোকেই বাটে-পথে ডকাইতি কৰা আৰু তোমালোকেই নিজৰ বৈঠকত প্ৰকাশ্য ঘৃণনীয় কাম কৰা’। উত্তৰত তেওঁৰ সম্প্ৰদায়ে কেৱল এইটোৱে ক’লে যে, ‘তেন্তে আমাৰ ওপৰত আল্লাহৰ শাস্তি লৈ আহা, যদি তুমি সত্যবাদী হোৱা’।

29:29. Such is your condition that you go to men for sexual satisfaction, and not women
(7:80-81). In this way you cut across the way which nature has provided for procreation. Moreover you commit these shameful acts in your (open) assemblies."
His nation had no reply to his admonitions, except to say, "If you are telling the truth
that due to such actions of ours we will be punished, then bring that punishment upon us."pz.

قَالَ رَبِّ انْصُرْنِي عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْمُفْسِدِينَ
তেওঁ ক’লে, ‘হে মোৰ ৰব! বিপৰ্যয় সৃষ্টিকাৰী সম্প্ৰদায়ৰ বিৰুদ্ধে তুমি মোক সহায় কৰা’।

🟤২৯:৩১(The Angels went to Ibrahim and then to Lut pbuh both)
وَلَمَّا جَاءَتْ رُسُلُنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ بِالْبُشْرَىٰ قَالُوا إِنَّا مُهْلِكُو أَهْلِ هَٰذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ ۖ إِنَّ أَهْلَهَا كَانُوا ظَالِمِينَ
আৰু যেতিয়া আমাৰ প্ৰেৰিত ফিৰিস্তাসকল সুসংবাদসহ ইব্ৰাহীমৰ ওচৰত আহিল*, তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, ‘নিশ্চয় আমি এই জনপদবাসীক ধ্বংস কৰিম। নিশ্চয় ইয়াৰ অধিবাসীবিলাক যালিম’।

আৰু অৱশ্যে আমাৰ ফিৰিস্তাসকলে সুসংবাদ লৈ ইব্ৰাহীমৰ ওচৰত আহিছিল। তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, ‘ছালাম’। তেখেতেও ক’লে, ‘ছালাম’। তাৰ পিছত পলম নকৰি তেওঁ এটা কাবাবকৃত দামুৰি লৈ আহিল।)

Abraham lived in Hebron, Palestine about 2000 BC. From the heights in Hebron he could see the Valley of Sodom by the Dead Sea(sa).

[29:23] As for (Wa) those who (Ellaziina) disbelieve (Kafaru') in (Bi) the verses of GOD (Aayaati-llahi) and
(Wa) HIS meeting (Liqaai-hi), “Those (U'laaika) have despaired (Yaisu') of (Min) MY mercy (Rah'matii), and
(Wa) those (U'laaika) will have (Lahum) a painful (Aliim) punishment (Åzaabun).”
[29:24] And (Fa) the answer (Jawaaba) of his people (Qaw'mi-hi) was (Kaana) only (Maa illa) to (An) say
(Qaalu'), "Kill him (Eq'tuluu-hu) or (Aw') burn him (Harriquu-hu)," but (Fa) GOD (Ellahu) rescued him
(Anjaa-hu) from (Mina) the fire (En'Naari). Indeed (Inna), there are (La) signs (Aayaatin) in (Fii) that (Zaalika)
for (Li) people (Qaw'min) who believe (Yu'minuun).
[29:25] And (Wa) he (Abraham) said (Qaala), "You have only (Innamaa) taken (Ettakhaz'tum) idols (Aw'thaanan)
besides GOD (Min Duuni-llahi)
for friendship (Mawaddata) between you (Bai'nikum) in (Fii) the worldly
(Ed'Dun'ya) life (El'Hayaati). But (Thumma) on the Day of Resurrection (Yaw'mal' Qiyaamati) you will reject
(Yak'furu Bi) each other (Ba'du-kum Ba'di) and (Wa) curse (Yal'ånu) each other (Ba'du-kum Ba'doan), and
your refuge (Ma'waa-kumu) is the Fire (En'Naaru) and (Wa) you will have (Lakum) no (Maa Min) helpers
(Naasiriin)."
[29:26] And (Fa) Lot (Luutun) believed him (Aamana Lahu) and (Wa) said (Qaala), "I (Innii) will emigrate
(Muhaajirun) to (ilaa) my LORD (Rabbii). Indeed (Innahu), HE (Huwa) is the ALMIGHTY (El' Åziizu), the
WISE (El' Hakiim)."
[29:27] And (Wa) We granted him (Wahab'naa La-hu) Isaac (Is'haaqa), and Jacob (grandson) (Ya'quuba), and
We assigned (Jaål'naa) prophethood (En'Nubuwwata) and the Book (Wal' Kitaaba) to (Fii) his offspring
(Zurriyyati-hi). And We gave him (Aatai'naa-hu) his reward (Aj'ra-hu) in (Fii) the world (Ed'Dun'yaa).
Indeed, he (Abraham) (Innahu) will be among (Lamina) the righteous (Es'Soalihiin) in the hereafter (Fiil' Aakhirati).
[29:28] Also (Wa) Lot (Luutoan), when (Iz') he said to (Qaala Li) his people (Qaw'mi-hi), "Indeed, you
(Innakum) have (La) committed (Ta'tuuna) the obscenity (El'Faahishata) which (-haa) has never (Maa Bi-)
happened before you (Sabaqa-kum) among (Min') any (Ahadin) of (Mina) the worlds (El'Åålamiin).
[29:29] "Do you indeed (A'innakum La) approach (Ta'tuuna) men (Er'Rijaala), block off (Taq'tauuna) the road
(Es'Sabiila) while (Wa) committing (Ta'tuuna) abomination (El'Munkara) in (Fii) your society (Naadii-
kumu)?" And (Fa) the answer (Jawaaba) of his people (Qaw'mi-hi) was (Kaana) only (Maa illa) to (An) say
(Qaalu'), "Bring us (E'tinaa Bi) the punishment of GOD (Åzaabi-llahi), if (In) you should be (Kunta) of (Mina)
the truthful (Es'Soadiqiin)."
[29:30] He (Lot) said (Qaala), "LORD (Rabbi), grant me victory (Ensur'nii) over (Ålaa) the corrupted
(El'Muf'sidiin) people (El'Qaw'mi)."
[29:31] And (Wa) when (Lammaa) Our messengers (Rusulu-naa) brought (Jaa'at Bi) the good news
(El'Bush'raa) to Abraham (Ib'raahiima), they (the messengers)said (Qaalu'), "Indeed (Innaa), We will destroy
(Muh'likuu') the people (Ah'li) of this (Haazihi) town (El'Qar'yati). Indeed (Inna), its people (Ah'la-haa) are
(Kaanu') transgressors (Zoalimiin)."
